Good News. Bad News and Sad News

First the good news.  Congratulations to Ian Brown on winning the Trillium Prize, the Charles Taylor Prize and the British Columbia national Award for Non-fiction for his memoir, The Boy in the Moon.

Now for the bad/sad news.  Brown has backed out of his commitments to the Sleeping Giant Writers festival and will not appear.  He was slated to give a reading at the free Friday evening reception and do workshops on memoir writing on Saturday morning and afternoon on August 28.
