Launch of Lisa Moore's "Caught" and Michael Crummy's "Under the Keel."
A fun night in St. John's Newfoundland. Well is there any other?
Two great writers, an enormous food area, a free bar, music and over a hundred people - all to send off two fine books, Lisa Moore's novel "Caught," and Michael Crummy's book of poetry, "Under the Keel."
The wine was flowing and the line up to get books signed stretched across the floor of the Christine Parker Gallery located on Water Street right down town. The line up to buy books was just as long and I could not get near the selling spot. So it is off to Chapters. Lisa's aunt and mother both told me the book was "grand," even better than "February", not an easy feat. (February was listed for the Booker and won Canada Reads).
