Off to Paris
Our own Michael Christie, (born and raised in Thunder Bay, later moved to BC, now back in Thunder Bay) author of a collection of short stories called Beggars Garden (which won the City of Vancouver Book Award) is heading to Paris next week to participate in the Festival of Americas for the launch of the French translation of Beggars Garden. He's soooo excited to rub elbows with so many of his favorite authors at the festival.
Michael is a genuinely warm, funny young man and is currently working on his first novel. Thought you might be interested.
