Afghanada
Much praise to CBC for their radio drama, Afghanada. Sharp, contemporary riveting writing from Andrew Moodie, Greg Nelson, Adam Pettle and Jason Sherman plus a quality production from James Roy all add up to radio drama at its best.
But hey, you can pick it up on CBC podcast or, purcahse the Cd from CBC or, cheaper by far, check it out at the Brodie Library.
Afghanada is a half hour series about Canadian soldiers fighting in Afghanistan. We follow a group of soldiers on the field and at home. Listening to the CD (from Brodie) gave me shivers and isn't that what great art is all about? A lot of people around Thunder Bay have followed the series but the Brodie Cd's give a chance to hear it from the beginning.
