Dear Joan:
I have just come across your informative literary blog and I thought that you and your readers might be interested in this trivia tidbit...the Manitoba Book Awards nominated novel "Autumn, One Spring" from Turnstone Press has a Northwestern Ontario connection. I was born in Port Arthur and moved to Atikokan at the age of 8, where I lived until I graduated high school.
"Autumn, One Spring" is set in the fictional mining town of Hematite, somewhere 'north' of Thunder Bay. In the novel, the main character, Autumn, is returning to her hometown roots after a six-year absence. Chaos ensues.
My best regards,
Patti Grayson
