Country of Dream.

Welcome to a patch of ground on this planet that you thought
you knew about . . .

 Well, not really.

. . . Even if you've lived here all your life.

Here is such stuff as dreams are made on.

Edgar J. Lavoie is a writer who lives in Greenstone. Between 1975 and 1984, he founded, edited, and published a little regional  magazine, The Squatchberry Journal

This month he started a blog to publish stories of the boreal, a place close to our hearts.  He told me that in the first few days the blog was on line, he got sixty hits. Pretty good for a literary site.  The blog, called Country of Dream is at http://www.countryofdream.ca/the-blog.html

Last week, returning from a launch in Calgary, I sat next to a man from Kenora who has been working out west.  " I miss the bush," he told me. Don't we all when we are far away. All this guy wanted to do was get in his boat and fish.  Sounded good to me.

Edgar J. Lavoie, editor or Country of Dream, a literary blog of the boreal forest.
