A BOREAL LOVE SONG by SHARON IRVINE
A round lake pink in evening's blush
sauna wood smoke hanging in trees:
hazy blue gauze weaving through the boreal forest
Loons calling across the lake.
Waves licking up the sandy shore
Five fuzzy ducks swimming in a row
behind mama.
You and I on the deck
and two mugs of hot tea.
More than enough.
