Meet our e writer in residence, Elizabeth Ruth
Join us for the launch of our 2011 e-Writer in Residence program with a reading and workshop with Elizabeth Ruth, our e-Writer in Residence! The reading, featuring Ruth and a selection of local writers, will take place on the evening of Thursday, October 13th. The workshop with Ruth will be on the afternoon of Saturday, October 15th. Exact times and locations TBA. Help us kick off this unique and exciting program!
Elizabeth Ruth (www.elizabethruth.com) is the author of two critically acclaimed novels, Ten Good Seconds of Silence and Smoke. A third novel, The Matador—about a female bullfighter—will be published in the fall of 2012. Ten Good Seconds was short-listed for several prestigious awards. Smoke was described in the Globe and Mail as “a virtuoso performance....utterly remarkable...” and was selected as the 2007 One Book, One Community read (http://oboc.ca/past-years/smoke-by-elizabeth-ruth/).
