Writers Circle Tackles Ginsberg

Lots of fun at the Writers' Circle last night working on the poems of Allen Ginsberg, with help from moderator Paul Gooding. A few people remembered hearing Ginsberg reading at Lakehead University in the early 70's.

Everyone is welcome to attend the get togethers of the Circle which are held in Waverley Library the last Wednesday of every month.  Next month participants are invited to read a piece of their own work: poem, short fiction or memoir.

Ginsberg discusses creating a poem in "After All, What Else is There to Say?"
"I wait; wait till the sky
       appears as  it is,
wait for a moment when
       the poem itself
is my way of speaking out, not
declaming of celebrating, yet,
     but telling the truth.
