On Monday, February 18, I attended a regular get together of the Thunder Bay International Fine Arts Association and was soon drawn into conversation ranging from an assessment of Leonard Cohen to the difficulties of writing haiku. Along that line, the group has had two very successful haiku contests so far, attracting participants world wide. Now they are considering a poetry contest or perhaps a photography contest.
Artists and friends of the arts are welcome to join in and partake of the fabulous cappuccinos. They meet the third Monday of every month, 8-10 pm, 97 Algoma Street South, and parking is at the rear of the house, off Wilson Street.
